
CHANDIGARH, JAN 24: Chiranjeev Milkha Singh, the only Indian to qualify for the European PGA, finished joint second with Scott Dunlap of the United States in the Mercedes-Benz-Vodacom South African Open Golf Championship at the 71-par Stellenbosch Golf Club, according to information received today.He finished one stroke behind winner David Frost of South Africa, who today carded three-under par 68 for an aggregate of five-under 279 69, 69, 73, 68. Jeev today carded one-under 71 for an aggregate four-under 280.

Till the 11th green, the Chandigarh golfer was in the third place. However, another birdie on the five-par 512-yard 14th hole and pars on the remaining greens paved the way for Jeev to share the second spot. Sven Struver Germany and Hennie Otto South Africa were fourth and fifth respectively. Thomas Bjorn of Denmark, Ernie Els of South Africa and Bob May of United States were joint sixth.
