Jeev Milkha Singh stayed in the hunt for his maiden Major title as he shot a creditable level-par 70 in the third round amid tough playing conditions to stay put at the tied seventh place at the PGA Championship being played at Oakland Hills on Sunday.

Resuming the penultimate round at the second hole after Saturday8217;s play was washed out due to rain, the ace Indian pro, who was the co-leader after the first round, mixed three birdies with as many bogeys to take his aggregate to two-over 212 8212; four shots off the pace held by Ben Curtis of America.

Battling an injured ankle and the elements at 8216;The Monster8217;, Jeev holed a birdie each on the seventh and ninth holes with a bogey in between, and made the turn at one-under.

However, he stumbled on the very first hole on his journey to the clubhouse, and while he recovered and picked up a stroke at the 12th, it all evened out with another bogey on the par-four 14th. In what would be a hard, and certainly long, day at the office, Jeev was set to play another 18 holes on Sunday.
