The KP Singh Deo report on the Athens doping issue will be made public tomorrow but the IWF has effectively taken the sting out of whatever it may contain. Indeed, the IOA appears to have been hustled into the release by publication on Tuesday of news of its one-year ban.

As it is, the report is not expected to come out without anything more than what has already been known or written about as, besides interviewing the people except Leonid Taranenko concerned, it has largely relied on media reports.

It is also believed that the committee has come to the conclusion that Sanamacha Chanu had taken diuretics while at the Village in order to reduce her body weight as she was found to be over weight while leaving for Athens. Except for this the committee or, for that matter, the IOA may not reveal anything or impost any sanctions on the national weightlifting body with IOA going to polls in November.
