Kambli to lead against Punjab
MUMBAI: Vinod Kambli will lead Ranji Trophy champions Mumbai in their Group A Super League clash against Punjab at Mohali from March 4-7 following the retirement today of stand-in skipper Sanjay Manjrekar.
Medium-pacer Sriram Kannan and wicket-keeper Abhijit Shetye are the two newcomers in the 15-member squad in the absence of a number of regulars, including skipper sachin tendulkar.
Tendulkar will be playing the first Test at Chennai March 6-10 while Abey Kuruvilla is in the Board President8217;s team to take on Australia at Vishakapatnam March 1-3. Four other key members 8212; Wasim Jaffer, Jatin Paranjpe, Sairaj Bahutule and Ajit Agarkar 8212; are touring Pakistan with the India A team.

Star Sports to become paychannel
CHANDIGARH: With Star Sports upgrading its technology, consumers will now have to pay for the channel. Star Sports is going to be a pay channel from March 17 after it switches over to the latest digital technology, managing director RK Singh told reporters here.
8220;Using digital technology, we will be able to offer Star Sports with superior quality picture and sound,8221; he said. The sports network would charge a sum of Rs 3.30 per month from a consumer in four slabs with a minimum of Rs 2.80 per consumer from the cable operators, he added.
18 players graduate from TFA JAMSHEDPUR:
The second batch of 18 cadets of the Tata Football Academy TFA were given their graduation certificates after completion of four years of training at TFA.
