
Hockey selections on May 26
BANGALORE: Selection trials for the Indian hockey team, bound for the tours to Germany and Belgium next month, will be held at Karnataka State Hockey Association stadium here on May 26.
The team would be selected from among the 44 probables undergoing training at the SAI Southern Centre here. Apart from the tours of Germany and Belgium, which commence on June 6, India would take part in tournaments in South Africa August, Egypt October, India October and Pakistan November.
Second win for Maharashtra boys
PONDICHERRY: Maharashtra boys recorded their second straight league win in the 50th Junior National Basketball championship Saturday when they defeated Haryana 85-55. In another match, holders Rajasthan defeated Tamil Nadu 92-52.
