Western India Ladies golf
MUMBAI: More than 40 amateurs are expected to tee-off in the 49th Ladies Western India Amateur Golf Championship which gets under way at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club from tomorrow.
A 32-hole strokeplay event for senior ladies will also be held on the last two days of the event.
Delhi boys in quarters
SURAT: Delhi defeated MP 65-57 to enter the boys quarter-finals of the 15th National Youth Basketball Championship here today. UP has also qualified for the knockout.
The girls matches continued to be one-sided affairs, with Maharashtra, Kerala, MP and Karnataka registering second consecutive victories to enter the round of eight.
Result: Maharashtra 52 Anita Krishnan 11 bt Gujarat 7 HT 27-2.
Assam defeat Kerala
IMPHAL: Assam defeated Kerala, 2-0, in a quarter-final league match of the 34th Dr B C Roy Junior National Football Championship played at Mapal Kangjeibung Stadium here on Monday.
In another quarter final league match Bengalbeat Meghalaya 3-0.
Orissa will play Bihar on Wednesday, while hosts Manipur will take on Sikkim in a separate match.
