Vintage rally on Feb 15
PUNE: As 15 vintage cars make their way from Mumbai to Pune for a car rally to be held in Pune the day after Valentine8217;s Day, the proud owners would probably not mind spending this romantic day driving in their magnificent obsessions.
Joining this grand spectacle will be many more from Pune, that, along with the Mumbai convoy, are sure to enhance Pune roads.Organised jointly by The Indian Express and the Vintage Car Club of India VCCI, 50 cars from Pune are expected to join the rally.
Kapoor weds
NEW DELHI: India off-spinner Aashish Kapoor married Jyotsna, daughter of a senior army officer here on Saturday.
Kapoor met Jyotsna, daughter of Brig VK Arjuna, at Mumbai while playing Ranji matches there. She is a student of fashion designing at Sofia College.
Easy for seeds
BANGALORE: ALL top seeded players in the men8217;s and women8217;s section sailed through to the last 16 of the sixth All-India Open ranking tennis tournament here on the second daytoday.
Top seed Marcus Hilbert, who had won the grass court title last month, had an easy day against S Ganesh of Tamil Nadu. Second seeded Prahlad Srinath too had an easy time with his opponent Anjan Viplay of Andhra Pradesh, winning 6-2, 6-2.
