MUMBAI: Sports channel ESPN has revised the telecast schedule of the programme Sachin8217;s sizzling centuries which is a tribute to Tendulkar8217;s batting exploits.

According to an ESPN release, the revised telecast schedule is with time in brackets: Aug 12 2230; Repeat on Aug 13 1830 and Aug 18 1100; Aug 19 2230; Repeat on Aug 20 1430 and Aug 22 1800.

BCCI to decide

CHENNAI: The technical committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India BCCI will study the recent rule changes brought forward by the game8217;s world governing body before making a decision on ratifying and accepting them.

BCCI secretary, JY Lele, said that the changes discussed at the recent umpires meeting in London have not yet been accepted by the Indian board.

It is not obligatory for ICC-member countries to accept rule changes in toto. The right to bring in rule changes is vested only with MCC, and not ICC. In fact, a few rules were brought forward by MCC last year, but were notaccepted by BCCI.

Boost for juniors

NEW DELHI: The All India Tennis Association AITA has revamped its administration with a major thrust to undertake development of tennis at the grassroot level in the country and signed Gajendra Singh as coach to oversee its junior development programme. 8220;In furtherance to the junior development programme launched by AITA, a new post of junior development officer has been incorporated in administration of AITA,8221; association secretary-general Ramesh Desai said in a statement today.

NEW DELHI: Five reputed training centres have been selected by the All India Tennis Association for their decentralised coaching programme being introduced from October 1. The Krishnan Centre, Bhupathi8217;s centre, Akthar Ali Centre in Calcutta, MSLTA8217;s Mumbai centre and DHAITA Academy in Delhi will induct induct five selected players from each zone.

Wrestling team

NEW DELHI: A 10-member Indian wrestling team leaves here on Tuesday night toparticipate in the World Junior u-20 Championship to be held in Nevada, US, from August 7 to 10.

India, fielding a team in the junior World meet for the first time, will take part only in the freestyle category.

The team: 49 kg- Sanjiv Kumar UP, 52 Kg- Manoj Kumar Rlys, 56 kg- Sanjay Kumar BSF, 60 kg- Sukinder Tomar UP, 65 Kg- Ramphal UP, 70 Kg- Sandip Kumar Har, 76 Kg- Anuj Kumar Rlys, 83 kg- Satinder Singh Del, 90 kg- Rajiv Tomar UP, 115 Kg- Nishant Kumar Del.
