Bhupathi in quarters
NEW DELHI: Mahesh Bhupathi came back from one set down to take out Eyal Ran 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 and enter the quarter-finals of the 100,000 Istanbul Challenger.
Bhupathi now meets sixth seeded Petr Luxa of Czechoslovakia ranked No 188 on the ATP computer.
The win gives Bhupathi a total of 21 points total so far, which is the largest number of points in his list and is enough to bring him up to around 350 on the rankings. Earlier this week, he fell to a career low of 407.

Cash bonanza
NAGPUR: A cash bonanza awaits players in the cluster level matches of the Kalyani Black Label Federation Cup Football Tournament when the West Zone league phase of the tournament begins here tomorrow at the Yeshwant Stadium.
The winners will get a cash prize of Rs 50,000, while the runners-up will be richer by Rs 25,000. The man of the match for the first six matches will receive cash prize worth Rs 2,500, while the outstanding player from the losing team would get Rs 1,000.
Cash prizes for man of the final, man of the tournament, outstanding player from the runners-up team and best goalkeeper are also at stake.
