PUNE: Happy Landing, Mumbai, qualified for the final of the team event for the Nivetia Trophy in the women8217;s National Bridge at the Pune Club yesterday.Represented by Vasanti Shah, Hilda Raymond, Yvette Singapuri and Bharati Dey, the team topped the league table with 126 VP.
IOA decision
NEW DELHI: The Indian Olympic Association IOA will decide by August the disciplines for participation in the December Bangkok Asian Games, according to its secretary-general Randhir Singh.
Reacting to reports that the disciplines had already been identified, Singh said IOA8217;s preparation commission was keeping close watch on the training currently in progress at various SAI centres.

CHENNAI: Fourth seeded Samrita Sekar of Tamil Nadu lowered the colours of top seeded Sasha Abraham of Andhra Pradesh to set up a title clash with third seeded C Nandita in the girls under-14 final in the South Zone third leg Adidas Junior tennis tournament here tomorrow.
In the semifinals this morning, Samrita hardly faced any difficulty in her 6-2, 6-2 drubbing of a totally off-colour Sasha Abraham, while Nandita, survived some anxious moments in the first set before disposing off Shareen Yusuf of Karnataka 6-3, 6-0 to enter the final.
