
AMRITSAR, June 17: Vice Chancellor of the Guru Nanak Dev University H.S.Soch, keeping in view the growing demand from various quarters, has decided to increase seats of the B.B.A. Bachelor of Business Administration, B.C.A. Bachelor of Computer Application and B.Com in its affiliated colleges. This was stated here today by S.P.Singh, Dean of College Development Council of the university.
The dean said the vice chancellor has enhanced the seats in Bachelor of Business Administration Part-I from 30 to 50 and in the Bachelor of Computer Applications from 30 to 40 on the condition that provision would be made for a suitable computer room. Similarly, the colleges have been given 80 seats in B.Com and 30 seats in M.Com Business Administration.In the meantime, Soch has ordered that the admission to the B.Com course be made strictly on the basis of merit of plus two examination giving seven per cent increase to the commerce group candidates and five per cent benefit to Economics and Mathematics candidates.
He also instructed the colleges that admission to the BCA course should be done purely on the basis of merit of plus two at the college level.
