An open discussion on the budget was organised by Janshakti, a social organisation at Lala Lajpat Rai Bhawan, here today. According to B. B. Tandon, a retired professor from University Business School, Panjab University, the present budget is pro-rich but not anti-poor. Manoj Kumar Sharma said the budget was the continuation of the previous budgetsSOPU strike off nThe Students8217; Organisation of Panjab University has withdrawn the strike call for Monday in wake of the acceptance of their demands by the Panjab University and UT authorities, a press release said.

Exhibition till March 3
Following good response today to the Science exhibition organised by the PU Physics Department, department chairman I. M. Govil has decided to keep the exhibition open till March 3 barring March 2. Eighteen exhibits, including various scientific models, are on display at the department.
