SHIMLA, JAN 19: Traditional gaiety and religious fervour marked the Id-ul-Fitr celebrations in Himachal Pradesh today.
Devout Muslims, dressed in their festive best, visited mosques at various places in the state to offer prayers.
Malerkotla: To greet the Muslims of Malerkotla, SGPC Chief Gurcharan Singh Tohra will come here on January 21. This was disclosed by senior Akali leader Choudhary Mehar Din. He added that besides Jathedar Tohra, acting chief of SGPC Sukhdev Singh Bhaur and MP Prem Singh Chandumajra would join the Id-Milan programme. On the occasion Mufti-e-Fuzail-Ur-Rehman Hilal Usmani will delve on the importance of Id-Ul-Fitr, Choudhary added.
