An Indian Air Force aircraft recently saved a Cessna plane from a possible crash landing. The Cessna was being piloted by a trainee-pilot, who lost her way after taking off from Nadirgul airfield.

On May 22, the Cessna, piloted by N.R. Veda, sent out messages indicating that she was unsure of her position and had lost her bearings. Sqn Ldr A.K. Yadav was on a routine mission when he started monitoring her messages over the radio. After ascertaining certain ground features, Yadav managed to locate Veda and helped her land at the airfield safely. It was later revealed that there was very little fuel in the aircraft, which could have crash landed. 8212;ENS
