What’s the most important meal in your day?
Breakfast is very important. I kick-start my day with toast, eggs, a fruit and at least two cups of tea because I love tea.
What’s your poison?
I love eating bread and I find myself chomping on it all the time—whether it’s garlic bread, or toast and jam, or slices with cheese and butter. And I just love chocolate, whether it’s candy or pastries.
What’s the diet that didn’t work for you?
As a teenager, I would try to eat less all the time. But then you grow up to the universal truth that diets don’t really work.
How do you like to exercise?
I hate stepping on a treadmill—you keep walking and get nowhere. I’m passionate about dance, and currently I do a lot of Kathak. I also do yoga at least twice a week to keep my mind and body fit. I love playing badminton, so I try and do that every now and then.
What do you wear when you dance?
If it’s Kathak, I wear a salwar kameez, but if it’s a Western form then either tracks or jeans and a T-shirt. And I don’t bother about brands—I just wear what’s comfortable.
How did you work out for your latest movie?
For my upcoming film, Mr Ya Miss, I had to put on weight, because I’m petite and the role required me to have a slightly masculine frame. After all the dancing in Naach, I’d gained muscle but became really lean. So I tried to eat more and did some weight training to broaden my shoulders.
What’s your favourite body part?
My feet—they’re tiny and look really pretty when I paint my nails and wear strappy sandals.
