
Larger number of foreign players would be the main attraction of the Premier Hockey League III, which would commence here tomorrow.
The 30 foreign players hired this year were allotted to each team in consultation with the coaches, Indian Hockey Federation president K P S Gill told reporters today.
The seven teams 8212; Chennai Veerans, Sher-E-Jalandhar, Maratha Warriors, Orissa Steelers, Bangalore Lions, Chandigarh Dynamos and Hyderabad Sultans 8212; in the tournament would play 21 matches during which they would play each other twice.
The first leg will conclude on February 4 after which the teams will move to Chandigarh for the second leg February 11 to March 1.
The top two teams would play the best-of-three final. The champions will win a purse of Rs 40 lakh while the runners-up will get Rs 15 lakh.
