Hingis arrives today

One of the game8217;s most well-known names, Martina Hingis, will be arriving in the city tomorrow morning for the Sunfeast Open. Home favourite Sania Mirza will touch down on Saturday.

The Indian ace, who is currently enjoying a career-high doubles ranking as World No. 28, will team up with South African Liezel Huber for the WTA Tier III event to be played here from September 18-24.

Meanwhile, Ankita Bhambri who has won three ITF singles titles this season, has been awarded the second wild card into the main draw.

Ankita had qualified for the main draw last year but lost in the opening round. She joins Sania and Shikha Uberoi, also a wild card entrant, to lead India8217;s challenge .
