Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) in Himachal Pradesh on Monday suffered a jolt with its president Balwant Singh resigning from the party alleging allotment of ticket for the Assembly poll on the basis of payment. Singh alleged BSP general secretary and in-charge of party in the state Mansingh Manhera and another party leader Vijay Singh Mankotia committed irregularities in allotment of tickets.
Singh, who sent his resignation to BSP president Mayawati, told reporters that the party which had made a “strong start” in the beginning will draw a blank in the 68-member Assembly because of “misdeeds” of these two leaders. “Genuine BSP workers were ignored and rebels of other parties were given ticket”, he charged.
