SYDNEY, April 4: Australia8217;s limited overs captain Steve Waugh criticised the organisers of the Indian tri-series today saying the scheduling is quot;ridiculousquot;.

Waugh is angry that all matches in the tournament against India and Zimbabwe are being played in the heat of the day instead of as day-night matches.Australia beat Zimbabwe yesterday in 45 degree heat in Ahmedabad. Two days earlier, the Australians endured fierce heat and humidity in Kochi during a 41-run loss to India.

quot;I think it8217;s just ridiculous playing in these conditions,quot; Waugh told Australian reporters in New Delhi.

quot;If you were honest about it, you wouldn8217;t even walk outside in this sort of heat and yet we are playing 100 overs of cricket in itquot;.

quot;You just can8217;t play sport in 45 degree heat, someone has got to look at the scheduling but I8217;m glad we8217;ve now got a couple of days off because it8217;s been very taxing both physically and mentally.quot;

Waugh said there was no way to prepare for such conditions. quot;If you trained for theseconditions you would die before you got over here,quot; Waugh said.
