Hearing on Hazare8217;s plea deferred

MUMBAI, Sept 4: The Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate K H Holambe-Patil at the Girgaum court on Thursday reserved his orders in the defamation case filed by Minister of Social Welfare Baban Gholap against social worker Anna Hazare and Jayashree Khadilkar-Pande, editor of the Marathi daily Navakal for September 9, 1998. The defamation case was filed by the minister in connection with an interview of Hazare in the newspaper where it was mentioned that on the basis of an enquiry conducted by the Anti-Corruption Bureau in connection with an alleged fraud at the Vasantrao Naik Mahamandal, Gholap was guilty of corruption.
