Blame the changing lifestyle, dietary habits or the ever increasing pollution, hair related problems are at its all time high in urban India. As a hope, Dr Satessh8217;s Hair Clinic has opened two centers in Pune at FC Road opposite Deendayal Hospital and at MG Road in Sterling Center opposite Arora Towers. The clinic is country8217;s only ISO:9001-2000 certified hair clinic. Both the centers will be formally inaugurated by noted film actress Mahima Choudhary on December 18 at 12:30pm and 1:30 pm respectively.

Dr Satessh Vaishnav, director, Dr Satessh8217;s Hair Clinic 038; Research Center said that the clinic will offer treatments to all the hair related problems like baldness in men and women, hair loss, change of hair color from black to gray at an early age and psoriasis of scalp to name a few.

While sharing the future plans Dr Satessh Vaishnav said that they are planning to open 15 more centers in various parts of country in next 18 months, including a center each at Nanded, Nagpur, Sangli and Nasik.

Long time no C
A slash in rates by the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority, has left most pharma companies with very little or no profit margin on many products. The situation further became grave when the companies were already facing a supply crunch of cheap raw materials from China. And one of the widely consumed product, Vitamin C supplements, also features in the list.

Vitamin C is a popular anti-oxidant and is used to treat several common diseases. They prevent allergies, help with respiratory problems and are specifically for diseases like scurvy. Because of the shortage, doctors are prescribing multivitamin tablets that contain Vitamin C in low doses. But some doctors warn that in the long run this might lead to other problems. As a boon in such situation, the good old remedy from our land, Chyawanprash comes as the substitute for Vitamin C shortage in the country.

Chyawanprash is rich on the Vitamin C content as one of its major ingredients is Amla. Amla Fruit is rich in Vitamin C and Pectin. Tannins present in it retard the oxidation of Vitamin C. It is well known fact that pectin decreases Serum Cholesterol in human beings. It inhibits Platelets aggregation and lowers cholesterol levels. It is a tonic, has a haematinic and lipalytic function useful in scurvy and jaundice, prevents indigestion and controls acidity as well as it8217;s a natural source of anti-ageing. It is one of the supplements used in hyperacidity and liver disorders. It stops premature graying or hair-loss encourages nail and hair growth, improves eyesight, cleanses the mouth, and nourishes the teeth, bones. Cleanses the intestine and regulates blood sugar.
