NEW DELHI, January 6: The Delhi High Court has disposed of the PIL on growing prices of onion and other vegetables in the Capital after the BJP-led Central government submitted that it had taken all possible steps to check the spiral in their prices.

While the export of some of them had been banned, their import was placed under the Open General Licence (OGL) so that their availability could be augmented easily, the government had stated in an affidavit filed before the division bench of justices Y.K. Sabharwal and K.S. Gupta.

After perusal of the affidavit, the judges today said that the writ petition was disposed of “in view of these decisions and the earlier affidavit filed the Delhi government”.
