MILAN, NOVEMBER 13: As ROMA had to use all their class to beat underdogs Reggina 2-1 on Saturday to seize the lead of the Serie A league with 15 points, broadening the distance from other powerhouses who after six rounds are still seeking their top ondition.

The home game seemed easy for Roma, who took the lead when Francesco Totti transformed a penalty in the 29th minute after having being downed in the penalty area.

The guests showed little fear of the powerhouse and managed to level through Albanian forward Erjon Bogdani, who put in a header after a free kick in the 54th.

Reggina resisted the attacks of the Romans mostly thanks to goalie Massimo Taibi, who could do nothing, though, against a shot on the wing of Vincenzo Montella from the limit of the penalty area in the 70th.

Inter Milan left their home field among the boos of fans enraged by the 1-0 loss against guests Lecce, who played part of the game with 10 men.

The guests, with eight points, are now one point ahead of the milanese. Lecce goalie Antonio Chimenti saved a penalty kick by French Laurent Blanc in the 11th minute, and added a number of stunning saves during the game that made him the hero of the day.

The three-point goal for Lecce came in the 20th through Croat Davor Vugrinec, who kicked in a right footer at the end of a fast action.
