CHANDIGARH, Jan 25: An exhibition of handicrafts from Tamil Nadu is going on at the Lajpat Rai Bhawan here. Named quot;Poompuharquot;, is it organised by the Tamil Nadu Development Corporation.

On display are bronze idols of Lord Shiva in his quot;Natraj roopquot; and the elephant God Ganesha. However, many can just look at them as they are priced at a whopping Rs 96,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively. In addition to that, various handicrafts, incense sticks, straw baskets, saris, suits, jackets and decoration pieces crafted from quot;neemquot; wood can be picked. Other items on display include statues of the laughing Buddha, boat dragons painted in bright colours and many kinds of lamps.
