While Azad Yadav, father of the main accused in the Euro International School shootout, was sent to 14 days in judicial custody, the Gurgaon police have turned their focus to locating Azad8217;s friend RS Dalal, reportedly the owner of the gun used in the murder of a teenage student.
According to Satheesh Balan, DCP, South, 8220;Yadav has told us that he knew nothing of the incident and that the gun used was his friend8217;s whom we are trying to locate now.8221;
As reported by The Indian Express earlier, the police have confirmed that Dalal, a wrestler from Islampur, had sent a note by registered post to Gurgaon Sector 40 police station on the day of the incident. The note stated that though the gun used to murder Abhishek Tyagi at Euro International belonged to Dalal, he had left it at Azad8217;s place from where it was stolen. 8220;We have formed many teams to locate Dalal, as he initially accepted the ownership of the gun,8221; said Balan.
Azad8217;s lawyer NK Jain, who is also representing his son Akash, seemed positive on Sunday that he would manage bail for his client. 8220;We are going to appeal in the Session8217;s Court and I am sure that my client will definitely get bail as he has only been booked under minor sections of the Arms Act,8221; he said.
On December 11, two Class VIII students of Euro International 8212; Akash and Vikas Yadav 8212; shot their classmate, allegedly for harassing and bullying them over the past few moths. It is believed that Akash procured the gun from his father8217;s cabinet.
