
An amalgamation of 15 social organisations, led by Jagega Gujarat Sangharash Samiti JGSS, has called for Gujarat bandh on Monday to protest against the mysterious death of two students of the Asaram Gurukul.
8220;We expect people from across Gujarat to voluntarily support the bandh and register their protest against the gruesome incident and the state Government8217;s inertia on the issue,8221; said JGSS convener Naresh Shah.
Earlier on Sunday, the JGSS called off its rally, from Sabarmati Ashram to Asaram Gurukul, to avoid any untoward incident. 8220;The decision has been changed to register public protest,8221; said Shah.
The Gujarat unit of the Congress has declared to extend support to the bandh. It will also protest against the state Government for not handing over the case to the CBI.
8220;It8217;s been over 15 days, but the demand for CBI inquiry has got no response from the Government,8221; said GPCC president Siddharath Patel.
