Greek princess lauds Indian philosophy

MUMBAI, Oct 24: She came, she saw, she conquered. At least, the audience at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan was enthusiasm personified when HRH Princess Irene of Greece delivered her lecture on Life, Philosophy and Health8217; today evening.

The princess, specialised in the study of comparative religions and Vedanta, was all praise for the 8220;innate goodwill in the country8221;, where all communities and cultures were respected. 8220;The tolerance and respect here is what attracted me to this country,8221;the princess went on to add.

Holding forth on how a particular culture was easily absorbed into the nation8217;s tradition, Irene stated that at the same time its uniqueness was preserved. The Parsi community, whose tradition and culture has stayed alive in the country was a pointer, she observed.
