An immediate expansion of the Union Cabinet is unlikely, authoritative sources said in the backdrop of reports that such a move was being thought of to woo leaders of smaller parties ahead of the trust vote in Lok Sabha on Tuesday. 8220;As of now we are not thinking of expansion of the Cabinet,8221; the sources said.

The UPA government is confident of winning the trust vote and does not intend to hold parliamentary elections this year to end the political instability. 8220;Elections should take place in March-April next year,8221; the sources said.

Once the confidence vote is over, the government intends to push ahead with its 8220;unfinished agenda8221; that includes reforms in the insurance, banking and pensions sectors, they said.
