Good response to pool tourney

Since the winners in both the categories will get attractive prizes, some outstanding billiards and snooker players of the city were also seen in action today in the meet. There are also consolation prizes for the best scorer of the day. In the men8217;s section there were more than one hundred entries. However, in the women8217;s group only seven players reported.

All the participants were also given T-shirts by the organisers.

The final of the tournament will be played on May 2.

Third Gaini Zail Singh Adventure Sports Festival will be held from May 6 to 12. According to a press release, during the festival trekking and long distance swimming events will be conducted.

Meet postponed
The under-12 boys football championships, which was slated to be held from May 3 at the Sector 17 Football Stadium, has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstance. According a press release of the Chandigarh Football Association, the meet will now be held in July.
