Last week he divulged that Ahmed Patel, political secretary to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, asked him during a telephonic talk: 8220;Record to nahin kar rahe ho You are not recording, are you?.8221; Although Congress leaders maintained that Patel might have said it in jest, they admit that they are usually very 8220;cautious8221; about what they speak during phone conversations with the SP leader. They point out that even the National Security Advisor chose to brief Singh on the Indo-US nuclear deal at a 8220;neutral venue8221;. 8220;The problem is you never know when Amar Singh decides to spill the beans,8221; explained a senior Congress leader.
