
Panaji, June 13: The brief two-day session of the Goa Legislative Assembly begins here at 1430 hours tomorrow and the election of a new Speaker would be the main issue before the house.
On the opening day, oath would be administered to the MLAs of the newly constituted House while election of Speaker is slated for Tuesday, official sources said.
The Congress has projected the name of former Chief Minister, Pratapsinh Rane for the post.
The House was also likely to take up the motion for vote of confidence in the new Congress government headed by Luizinho Faleiro during this session.Goa Governor Lt Gen Retd J F R Jacob has asked the Faleiro Government, which assumed office on June nine, to prove majority within 21 days.
