CHANDIGARH, Oct 31: Guru Nanak Public School-36 beat Moti Ram Arya School-27, 25-7 in a one-sided affair in the third Rao Jai Singh Memorial basketball tournament at the New Public School in Sector 18, today.

Jagpreet with 23 points was the main scorer for GNPS-36. Biney Pal 9 and Harpreet 5 also contributed to the score.

In another match New Public School-18 after trailing by three points at the break 18-21 fought back strongly to beat SD Public School-32, 42-32.

Sundram Suri, who scored 22 points was the main architect of the team8217;s win in the match today. Chander Prakash 16 netted for SD-32.

Sukhwinder hits ton
Unbeaten century by Sukhwinder Tinkoo 100 runs enabled Mohali Gymkhana cricket club beat CNS XI by one run in the third JAL Cup cricket tournament at the PGI ground today. Mohali XI will face LIC XI in the semifinal who defeated Punjab Civil Secretariat XI by 86 runs.
