CHANDIGARH, Oct 13: Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26 outplayed Panjab University Campus 9-2 in their last league match to win title in the PU Inter-College women kho-kho tournament at the PU Campus here today.

MCM DAV College-36 beat Government College for Girls-11, 12-2 in another league match to bag second place in the meet.

Third position went to PU Campus.

DAV-10 shine
DAV College, Sector 10 thrashed Government College, Hoshiarpur 14-1 in the PU Inter-College (zonal) men kho-kho tournament today.

PUC win
Panjab University Campus defeated DAV College-10, 3-2 in the PU Inter-College (zonal) men’s table tennis tournament today. In another match Govt Medical College-32 beat Govt College-11, 3-2.

Ravi shines
Unbeaten century (103 runs) by Ravi enabled Sanjay Public School-44 beat Government School-27 by 77 runs to enter the final of the Chandigarh Schools cricket tournament for Shivalik Trophy. SPS-44 will take on DAV School-8, in the final.
Brief scores: SPS-44: 217 for 6 in 30 overs (Ravi 103 n.o., Vikram 44, Pardeep 23); GS-27: 140 in 29.2 overs (Parminder 30, Sanjeev 2 for 12).

Soccer meet
The Chandigarh Senior women football championship for Deepak Kapania Memorial Trophy will be organised from October 18 to 22 at the Sector 17 Football Stadium. According to Ravinder Talwar, president, CFA, during the meet 30 players will be selected for a coaching camp.
