CHANDIGARH, Nov 13: Geeta Aggarwal of Chandigarh and Parul of Delhi sailed into the women8217;s singles semifinal of the fourth Tara Chand Memorial cash prize invitation badminton tournament being held at Community Centre, Sector 7 in Panchkula today.

Geeta outclassed Nazma of Punjab 5-11, 13-11, 13-11 while Parul defeated Preetika of Haryana 9-11, 11-3, 11-2.

Chandigarh Football Association would organise Chandigarh junior league championship under-19 for Deepak Memorial Trophy from November 19 at Sector 17 Football Stadium. The meet is being held in memory of Deepak, a budding footballer who recently met with a fatal road accident.
