VADODARA, April 29: In a bid to provide consumers with better electricity services and make the administration more transparent, the Gujarat Electricity Board GEB has drawn an action plan for 1999-2000.

The plan will be released by Chief Minister Keshubhai Patel on Sunday at a programme in Mahatma Gandhi Nagar Gruh at 9.45 a.m.

Board chairman Nalin Bhatt said on Thursday that the master plan, which deals with 11 major aspects related to the Board, has been chalked out by technical experts apart from those in finance and administration.

Bhatt said the plan has been prepared looking to past experiences and the changes needed in the future to improve administration and provide quality services. He added that the plan would not remain on paper but would be put into practice.

MP Jayaben Thakkar, Civil Supplies Minister Jaspal Singh, and several BJP leaders will remain present at the function.
