MUMBAI, JAN 22: Six goals, including a hat-trick, by Gagan Ajit Singh enabled Air-India defeat Young Sports 15-0 in their opening encounter of the Bombay Hockey Association Super league at Mahindra Stadium, on Saturday.Edward Aranha 5, Alex D8217;Souza 3 and Cornelius D8217;Costa were the other scorers.

Mihir stuns Bikram
Mihir Kapoor of HR College pulled off a 3-1 win over National champion Bikram Uberoi to bag the boys under-19 title in the fourth-leg of the Air-India-SRAM Junior squash at the Otters Club, Bandra.
Mihir won 7-9, 10-8, 9-5, 9-7.

Kalina Kolovery advance
Kalina Kolovery beat SIWS College Wadala 2-1 in the Don Bosco Challenge Cup football at St Joseph8217;s ITI ground, Kurla. William Kinny and Moris Galband scored for Kalina while KS Shabrishan reduced the margin for SIWS.

Walawalkar best
Sandeep Walawalkar of Parulekar Gymnasium was adjudged Mumbai Shree 2000 in the District body-building contest at Shivaji Mandir, Dadar.
Results: 60 kg: 1 Prakash Lohodge, 2 Alim Hilori, 3 Dhananjay Utekar. 60 to 65 kg: 1 Sanjay Redkar, 2 Parvin Kadam, 3 Sunil Khade. 65 to 70 kg: 1 Manish Adrailkar, 2 P Shivkumar, 3 Shailesh Samel. 70 to 75 kg: 1 Pravin Sakpal, 2 Rupesh Raut, 3 Navnath Salamche. 75 to 80 kg: 1 Sandeep Walawalkar, 2 Mandar Chawalkar, 3 Roshan Patil. Above 80 kg: 1 Anil Raut, 2 Santosh Shetty, 3 Shekar Bhoir.

Western Railway champs
Western Railway emerged winners in the team-of-four progressive event of the 25th Tatas Inter-Offices bridge tournament and lifted the KM Gherda Trophy.Western Railway, comprising RP Mittal, PK Mokashi, SH Vazirani and VR Modak, topped with 93 match points, followed by Nair Medico with 90 mps.
