Vajapayeeji, vanakkam First, Our deepest nalvaalthugal for Holi, the north Indian festival of colours. We remember Our time spent in Delhi recently with deep fondness. Please convey Our greetings to Sushmaji and thank her for the shawl that she so kindly greeted Us with at Delhi airport. We appreciated the gesture.

Sashikala has suggested that We make it into Our 550th cape with a special sweetheart neck, to be worn with a pearl-studded bracelet that the Directorate of Vigilance has handed back to Us after snatching it so rudely from Us. But We must state here that We don8217;t know whether We really should make it into a cape. In fact, you may have noticed that We have become pretty nebulous about this sartorial embellishment these days.

But, enough of such fripperies! Let us apply Our minds to the National Agenda that beckons Us. At the outset, let Us remove any lurking doubt in your mind about Our intentions. Let Us reiterate what We stated in Delhi that Our wholehearted support is with you from theoutside. We will give Our utmost to ensure that the government remains stable and completes its five-year term.

It8217;s not only Ourself, but all Our admirers and supporters in Tamil Nadu wish you to complete your five-year term. Besides them, the Pattali Makkal Katchi, the Marumalarchi DMK, the Tamizhaga Rajiv Congress wish you to complete your five-year term. Besides them, Manusamy K.O. from Vellore, Thambi Durai M from Vellore, Kanchi Paneerselvam from Chengalpattu, Ramaraaja from Tiruchendur, Sathiamoorthy V from Ramanathapuram, Murugesan S from Tenkasi, Gopal C from Arakkonam, Venugopal K from Sriperumbudur, Srinivaasan C from Dindigul, Rajarethinam P from Parambalur, Muthia R from Periyakulam, Palaniswamy K from Tiruchengode, Saroja from Rasipuram, Paramasivam Raja from Pudukkottai, Thiyagarajan from Pollachi, Janarthanan R from Tirunelveli and Chinnasamy V K from Gobichettipalayam send you their vaaltthugal as well and wish to convey that they are your true soldiers from the outside and will doeverything in their power to see that you complete your five-year-term.

But first We wish to convey to you that those pressing matters that We spoke about when We were in the Capital are non-negotiable. We are confident that you will not dismiss them out of hand and wound Our heart which has only nalvaalthhugal for you. Our requests as you may have noticed are simple. We only wish that the man who currently presides over the destinies of Our beloved people, and Our chief tormentor, be despatched forthwith to the dungeons.

Besides, those pending demands, We have certain other requests which We did not have time to expand upon while in Delhi and which We will now proceed to set down.

We are aware that you have a certain reverence for Our beloved poet Subramania Bharati and you even quoted the following lines from his masterpiece and, I may add, Our favourite Enn Thai: 8220;Thirty crore faces my mother has, but body and soul is one. She speaks in 18 tongues but her thought is one.8221; These lines, if We wereto nudge your memory, were among the last you delivered as Prime Minister in 1996. They reflect Our sentiment precisely. Therefore, We would demand that all 18 tongues of Our Divine Mother, including of course Our beloved Tamil, be given the same status as Hindi. This was the dream of Puratchi Thalaivar MGR and We wish to see it become reality.

We may add that the Tamil version of Jana Gana Mana is being prepared, and you may contact Us on the matter.

We may add that We will be very displeased if the films of that blackguard Rajnikanth are screened, in whole or in part, in any region of this country and We expect the soon-to-be constituted Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to act on the matter forthwith.

You, no doubt, know that We from Tamil Nadu hold certain things very dear to Our heart and stomach. Among them is the famous idli-sambhar, the flavour of which dish has travelled all the way from Kanyakumari to Kashmir. We find the north Indian dal-roti unappetising to Our palate. We thereforewould be pleased if you award the humble idli-sambhar the status of the national dish. Similarly, the word 8220;namaste8221; which people in the north employ sounds coarse to Our ears. To Our mind, the mellifluous vanakkam sounds better.

There other matters that are burdening Our mind, which We cannot reveal to you because of Unavoidable Circumstances. However, we will do so after you have got back on the matters that We have dwelt upon herein. Meendum aduttha kadithatthil sandippom
