
CHANDIGARH, April 26: As many as 24 patients underwent eye surgery at a camp organised by Guru Granth Sahib Sewa Society here today. Dr Surinder Kumar ex-chief eye surgeon, Sohana Eye hospital and his team performed these operations using the latest technology stitchless surgery with imported lenses at the Laser Eye hospital in Mohali.
The society had earlier examined as many as 480 eye and general patients at a camp organised at village Raipur Kalan on Tuesday. In another camp 200 eye patients were examined. The camp was organised by Baba Sheikh Farid Charitable Trust in Phase IX today. Free medicines were distributed among the patients by IFFCO. IFFCO also gave a tricycle to Jasbir Kaur, a handicapped girl of Lambian village and a sewing machine to a widow. The camp was inaugurated by Zonal Manager, Mohkam Singh.
