Nadia Sood ones again unfurls her collection of shawls, stoles and capes at her exhibition Down the Ages at Episode, Sector 9. Accessorized with sequin and embroidery, here the berry checks are in abundance. 8220;The capes with checked collars are selling like hotcakes,8221; she tells us, spreading a black pashmina shawl that has the elegance to pep-up any attire.

The exhibition is on till December 24.

Be a Santa!
Global Environment Concern, a youth initiated Non Government Organization working on the issues concerning environment and education, organized an event 8216;Be a Santa8217; where clothes and other gifts were distributed to around 100 underprivileged children of the slums of Sector 25. 8220;The purpose of the event was to sensitize the common youth,8221; said Sumit Narang, a member of the club. Ishwar Singh, Director of Forest Department, was also present on the occasion.

Winter Break
It8217;s winter break, and red is the colour. Keeping the spirit of the season warm and alive, the British Library Sector 9 is gearing up to keep your children busy. The library is holding workshops for children during the Christmas season, and the schedule is as follows: Age 4-7 years: December 24: 4: pm Movie Screening: David the Gnome, December 27: 11am: Speech and Drama Workshop, January 3: 11 am Speech and Drama Workshop. Age 8-12 years: December 24: 4pm Movie Screening: David the Gnome, December 24, 11 am: Build your own Robot: design, build, and program autonomous robots for fun and competition, December 27: 12.30 pm Public Speaking Workshop and January 3: 12.30 pm: Build your own Robot. Remember, the dress code is red!

Silver Years
Firstep Montessori School, Sector 7, Panchkula celebrated 25 years on Sunday 21st December. The occasion was marked with great fervor and enthusiasm. The program was commenced by a welcome song performed by the tiny tots. Principal of the school, Madhu Trehan, welcomed everyone and threw light on the important achievements of the school through the past 25 years. Little children dressed up as gladiators won many hearts as they danced to the tune of 8220;We are the Champions8221;. There was a resounding applause for the patriotic dance drama performed by Class III and IV children that won the school second prize in Fanta Fiesta Thematic Drama competition earlier this year. The performance was an ode to the recent terror attacks in Mumbai. Parents and school alumni spoke of their experiences with the school on the occasion. Staff and alumnus congregated were presented with mementoes to mark the occasion. J.N.Seth, chairman of Ess Ess Industries and one of the trustees of the school, foundation gave away the mementoes.
