Amid the ongoing blame game between the Union Ministers from Bihar and the state government over who was responsible for the disaster caused by the breach in the Kosi embankment, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi asked them not to politicise the issue.

8220;This is no time for accusations and counter-accusations. In this hour of grave crisis, everybody should focus on how to reach relief to the suffering masses,8221; Gandhi told reporters.

Gandhi, who shunned the media for almost his entire two-day visit to the flood-ravaged Purnia, Madhepura and Araria districts, said he was sent to the state by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi to assess the ground realities.

8220;On my return I will meet them to apprise them of the situation here and, if need be, the Centre will pump in additional resources to help the state tide over the situation,8221; he said.

The leader also said the entire nation stood with Bihar in 8220;this hour of calamity8221;.
