Sachin Tendulkar has another problem on his head now. His run drought might have ended but the national flag on his helmet has kicked up a debate. According to the Home Ministry, the placement of the tri-colour below the BCCI logo isn8217;t to their liking. While the Ministry says that they informed the Indian board about it, the BCCI denies getting any such intimation. Intrestingly, it was the BCCI that raised this issue first. According to BCCI secretary SK Nair, some of its members at the working committee meeting in July objected to the flag postioning but the players were not adviced on the issue.

Talking to The Indian Express, Nair said, 8216;8216;we referred the matter to the Union governmnet and are awaiting their reply.8217;8217; The Home Ministry in New Delhi, however, countered him by saying that the BCCI has already been conveyed the message and there has been no action so far. 8216;8216;We have told them clearly that the national flag should be always above the BCCI logo. This clarification was given quite some time back,8217;8217; said a spokesman when aked for reaction.
