Spurred on by his Twenty20 call, and intent on making a comeback to the Indian Test and ODI team, Harbhajan Singh was at his lethal best today, claiming five wickets in Kent8217;s first innings as his team Surrey took the initiative on Day One of their Division One county championship at St Lawrence ground in Canterbury.

Introduced as second change, the Indian off-spinner ripped through the middle-order with figures of 19.4-5-34-5 as Kent were made to rue their decision to bat first, being bundled out for just 150, according to information reaching here.

In fact, Harbhajan set up a hat-trick for himself with his third and fourth wicket when he dismissed Yasir Arafat and Ryan McLaren. But he missed it. Harbhajan bowled with a lot of control and teased the batsmen with both his flight and turn and maintained a very good economy rate of 1.72.

The 27-year old was yesterday named in the Indian team for Twenty20. He was ignored for Bangladesh and the ongoing Test and one-day series against England. Harbhajan, who was among the few player who was axed after india8217;s disastrous World Cup campaign, opted to play for Surrey in a bid to prove his credentials all over again and win a recall.
