VADODARA, July 13: After the computer snag, it is the government holiday on Wednesday which is being cited as the reason for the delay in announcement of first year Arts results at the M S University. The conclusion: the authorities are still not sure about the date for the declaration of the results, which have already been delayed by a month.

While the results of the first year Arts were to be declared on Wednesday, the same for first year Commerce is yet to be finalised. While pointing out no specific reason for the delay in results, an official of the examination cell said that the delay wasn’t unusual and there was no chance of a delay in semester. “The results of both the faculties would now be declared only by the end of this week,” he added.

“The classes for the second year of both the faculties generally begin by the first week of July. It thus enables the freshers also to begin their classes by the same time,” opined another official. And if his words are anything to go by the delay would in fact affect the schedule of the first and second year classes.

Stating that the merit list for the first year at the Faculty of Arts and Commerce had already been declared, he added that the unsurity would continue to prevail as long as the results of the first year were not declared.
