
PATNA, SEPT 28: Police on Tuesday filed a first information report against Bharatiya Janata Party candidate C P Thakur from Patna parliamentary constituencey for his alleged involvement in disturbing electoral process in the second phase of polls on September 25.
Returning officer for Patna parliamentary constituency Gautam Goswami said police filed an FIR in connection with his alleged involvement in taking out ballot papers from a polling booth.
A report from Motihari said three separate cases were filed against Rashtriya Janata Dal candidate Rama Devi in connection with alleged attempt to disturb the electoral process, capture of booths and pouring of ink into the ballot boxes.
Another FIR was filed against Minister of State for Cooperatives Shyam Bihari Prasad for disturbing the poll process. His jeep was also impounded by the police for moving without the necessary permit.
