When it comes to furnishings, brands and designers get together to give you a look that promises a lived-in feel and an assemblage that8217;s put together with precision, that too without any effort. At Floors 038; Furnishings, manager Rajan Sankalp throws open coordinates, that8217;s what they call a complete package of sofa linen, sheers, curtains, wall papers et al. The coordinates though bring in a play of different fabrics look impeccable as a setting, but as fabrics alone do not gel well. 8220;That8217;s the reason we get in designers to provide customized room sets under one roof. They make sure that the complete arrangement is in harmony but yet does not give an overdose of a particular element,8221; Sankalp tells us. Here, those in the domestic range under their own banner are the tops. 8220;Priced between Rs 300 and Rs 1,500 per sq metre, coordinates save a lot of time and effort that we otherwise waste collecting pieces from different places,8221; he says.

Under Designer8217;s Guild, an international home and lifestyle company that dominates stores and many city homes, the collection can vary anywhere in the range of Rs 2,000 and Rs 15,000 per sq metre. Interestingly, coordinate collections by designers like Nya-Nordiska, Casamance and Elitis are now available in Chandigarh. Richa Sharma, a first year interior design student lists out Home Spell, Jain Furnishings and Krishna Carpets as places where you can bag them. 8220;From embroidery to prints, cotton to silk and curtain rods to rugs, they take care of just about everything,8221; smiles Sharma.
