NOIDA, FEB 24: Despite adverse and windy weather conditions, Calcutta8217;s Feroz Ali returned with the day8217;s best card of three-under 69 to assume sole lead after the opening round of the Rs 6-lakh Sri Padampat Singhania Open golf. One stroke behind, at second spot, was Mukesh Kumar at two-under 70.

Amateurs: 72 Simarjeet Singh; 79 Rakesh Sharma; 81 Sheeraz Kala.
