A 34-year-old farmer threatened to commit suicide by jumping from a 400-feet high billboard opposite Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s house on Tuesday evening.

Madan Mohan Reddy, from Kalikiri in Chittor district, told police that Congress Chief Whip in the Assembly N Kiran Kumar Reddy had grabbed his 2.5 acres of land in Kaligiri and was threatening him constantly. He dropped a letter to policemen below giving his name, mobile number and his grievance.

Punjagutta police and personnel from CM’s security who rushed to the spot kept him talking on the mobile phone. Madan Mohan Reddy told police that he wouldn’t climb down unless he was assured of an audience with the Chief Minister. He said he had made several complaints but no one had paid attention.
