Farmer threatens suicide near YSR146;s residence

A 34-year-old farmer threatened to commit suicide by jumping from a 400-feet high billboard opposite Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy8217;s house on Tuesday evening.

Madan Mohan Reddy, from Kalikiri in Chittor district, told police that Congress Chief Whip in the Assembly N Kiran Kumar Reddy had grabbed his 2.5 acres of land in Kaligiri and was threatening him constantly. He dropped a letter to policemen below giving his name, mobile number and his grievance.

Punjagutta police and personnel from CM8217;s security who rushed to the spot kept him talking on the mobile phone. Madan Mohan Reddy told police that he wouldn8217;t climb down unless he was assured of an audience with the Chief Minister. He said he had made several complaints but no one had paid attention.
