
Rising airfares may have brought back a fair number of passengers to the Indian Railways, but those managing its Passenger Reservation Enquiry website seem to have not noticed. So, if you are lucky, you may actually find airline ads flashing on the website offering cheap fares, even cheaper than trains at times, even as you try to fish out the train-fare details. Realising the potential damage this could inflict to its coffers, Railway Ministry officials are now trying to choose between the two evils 8212; losing ad revenue or losing passenger revenue.
