If you happen to visit a college campus by chance you see so many smiling and cheerful faces and a whole bunch of guys and girls engaged in their own activities. The brighter side is that you find them so confident and positive about life. But the darker side remains veiled.
As the academic years pass by, the uncertainty towards future becomes more prominent. As the famous saying goes, 8220;a coin has two sides,8221; applies in this case also. Some of them are so confident and so sure about what they are going to do, while some of them are just unable to decide for themselves. With every passing year they become more and more restless and increased tension affects in all parts of their life. The building force from parents about uncertain future, the inner thoughts about to do something and the worst part competition adds more to it.
Finally, a stage is reached when a person feels so helpless and insecure that he goes on probing each and every way. Being a student myself and going through all these situations. I feel this is the problem faced by many students. The stress, frustration may lead to anxiety, nervousness, crack in relationships and unending arguments. Many a time individuals get carried away by peer group influence which results in a wavering mind.
The ideal solution to all these problems is a proper timely guidance. The process should start from the school itself with proper testing of interests and aptitudes of an individual in a specific field. This should be supported by strong motivation from parents. As we are rapidly marching towards 21st century there are so many options and fields open that proper information should be collected and analysed. The individual has to select from one of them and see whether he is suitable for that field and should overcome his drawbacks. There should be strong desire to achieve his goal along with disciplined efforts, supported by strong determination and good devotion.
With all these steps I8217;m sure that there will be less uncertainty concerning a future career. But the question which still remains unanswered that majority of people know about these steps but are they really implementing them in reality?
