NASHIK, June 29: State Minister for Industries, Liladhar Dake announced here yesterday that a districtwise survey of infrastructure in the state had been undertaken by the state government to guide industrialists.

Inaugurating Nashik-2000,8217; a seminar on industrialisation of Nashik, the minister said that data on the availability of raw material, land, water, electricity, roads and communication in each district of the State was being compiled. The data would enable the government to guide entrepreneurs to the most suitable sites in the State, facilitating industrial growth.

Dake further said that district industry centres would be modernised and empowered to take decisions at local levels through a single window clearance system. He informed that 481 new projects of 81,940 were coming up in Nashik district. Nine industrial estates with five star infrastructural facilities were being set up in the state, including one at Sinnar in Nashik district. Land acquisition was in progress and the Sinnar bypass on the Nashik-Pune road would be completed within a year.

He said that survey of the Mumbai-Nashik expressway had been carried out and work would commence soon, with private participation. The creation of an MIDC industrial estate at Malegaon, pending since 1989 had been cleared by his government and land acquisition was in progress, he added. He said, for the Sinnar estate, survey for the Ghoti-Sinnar road was over.
